Crystal Shade is a dynamic force in the Nashville creative scene, primarily known as the artisan behind Crystal Shade Pottery. Operating out of her studio right here at 100 Taylor Street, Crystal specializes in crafting beautiful, functional ceramics designed to elevate daily rituals, alongside unique works of art. Her collections range from handcrafted vessels and home decor to delicate jewelry, often featuring whimsical, one-of-a-kind designs. Crystal has also built a reputation for her highly sought-after custom pet-themed ceramics, demonstrating a unique ability to immortalize beloved family members in clay. Through her hands-on approach and dedication to quality, Crystal Shade Pottery has become a recognized name, celebrated for its originality and connection to the heart of Nashville’s maker culture.

Beyond her own studio, Crystal serves as a pivotal anchor for the entire arts community not only through the classes and workshops she teaches but also as director of the 100 Taylor Arts Market. This monthly event, co-organized with partners like Bearded Iris Brewing, is dedicated to supporting and promoting local artists and artisans by providing a vital platform to showcase their creative talents. Now hosted at Bearded Iris Brewing, the market regularly features 30 local makers, drawing the community in with art, live music, and local craft beverages. Crystal’s commitment to fostering a vibrant arts scene ensures that the 100 Taylor Arts Market remains a unique and essential destination for visitors looking to discover and purchase locally crafted goods.
